Sec-Line/Receiver 2000Xe is a high level security encryption module for telephone receivers from ARDY Electronics Ltd. This encryption module can be installed to analogue or digital telephones worldwide. The installation is done between the handset and the telephone on the 4 wire receiver cord.

Sec-Line/Receiver 2000Xe uses key fingerprint display that prevents man-in-the-middle attacks with an Optional PIN-based access control possibility.

Sec-Line/Receiver 2000Xe uses Diffie Hellman with 1024 bit PKI handshake to start the secure connection and triple DES as per ANSI specification X9.52 as encryption algorithm with a 168-bit unique random synchronous encryption key negotiated for each call.

Sec-Line/Receiver 2000Xe has to be install at both sides of the communication in order to establish a secure connection. The unit can be used for both secure and clear phone calls.

Advantages with the SLR2000Xe system

Installation:
1. Remove the coiled handset cord from the handset jack on your telephone base.
2. Plug the supplied interface cord between the SLR2000Xe telephone jack on the rear of the
SLR2000Xe unit and the handset on your telephone base.
3. Plug your telephone's coiled handset cord into the SLR2000Xe unit handset jack on the side of the
SLR2000Xe unit.
4. Plug the power adapter cord into the SLR2000Xe power jack. Plug in the power adapter into a
standard 240 VAC wall outlet.
5. If the SLR2000Xe unit is not on, press the ON/OFF switch at the back of the unit.
Press the MENU key on the top line of the display shows "à SELECT PHONE". Press the ENTER key.
6. Enter the 4 digits Phone Type code associated with your telephone manufacturer and model
number from the Table 1.0 below.

Operation:
1. Place a normal phone call and ensure that both parties have the SLR2000Xe unit correctly installed
and that both units are in the Power ON mode.
2. To Secure the phone call, one party ( and only one) should press the SECURE-key on the
SLR2000Xe unit. If PIN-based access control is enabled, enter your 4-digit PIN code when requested.
3. After some seconds, the display will change to "SECURE MODE" Ask the far end party to read the 5 digit "Key Fingerprint number", if both units agree, the call is secured.
4. To return to non-secure mode, either party may press the SECURE-key again.
Cord Connection Codes for correct cord interface to different telephone manufacturers:
In order for the SLR2000Xe to function with different telephone models it may be necessary to change the code for the handset wires, as they are not standardized. This code will change the internal connection between the telephone handset and the SLR2000Xe unit.
